Musical 'Oklahoma' features expat talent

The Camarata Musical Company (CMC) Theater will present Rogers and Hammerstein’s classic “Oklahoma” at the Seoul Jazz Academy Hall on May 28-29 and June 4-5.

The comic musical, directed by Frans Schoeman, with music direction by Dr. Ryan Goessl and choreography by Melissa Harper Khadka, features expat talent in Korea.

The show is set in the early 20th century Oklahoma territory and depicts the daily life of the era. It features the classic song “Oh What a Beautiful Mornin’”.

The CMC is a non-profit organization that includes the Camarata Children’s Choir, Chorale, Camarata Chamber Singers and Camarata Orchestra comprised of members of over 70 nationalities that provides collaborative performances for musicians of all nationalities residing in Korea.

All performances are in English with Korean subtitles.

Performances will start at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets cost 20,000 won in advance, 30,000 won at the door.

To get to the Seoul Jazz Academy, leave Hyehwa Station at exit 3 and walk straight for 50 meters.
