ECCK co-hosts intellectual property rights conference

The European Chamber of Commerce Korea (ECCK) co-hosted the 2014 Korea-EU Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Conference with the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) under the European Union and the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) at the Conrad Seoul hotel, Tuesday.
Korean and European experts in the field of intellectual property were invited to talk on the current status of legislation, measures to best protect intellectual property, and recent developments in the areas of trademarks and industrial design.
Featured speakers included Gregoire Bisson from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); Luca Rampini, senior lawyer from OHIM; Huh Won-seok, deputy director of the Trademark Examination Policy Division at KIPO; and attorneys from Kim & Chang.
The conference was an opportunity to meet with industry professionals and IPR experts and expand knowledge on trademarks and industrial design.
