Earthquake aftershock near Ulsan

A 2.3-magnitude earthquake aftershock was detected 50 kilometers off the southeastern port city of Ulsan at 4:50 a.m. Saturday, the weather agency said.
The epicenter was roughly two kilometers away from the 5.0 magnitude earthquake on July 5 that shook the southeast Korean Peninsula and panicked many people.
The July 5 quake, the fifth-strongest seismic activity to hit the peninsula since 1978, caused no casualties or damage.
Saturday’s aftershock was so weak that ordinary people did not feel it, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).
Citing the quakes near Ulsan, many experts claim the Korean Peninsula is no longer safe from powerful earthquakes.
