Korea will send a high-level delegation to China to join the military parade in Beijing on Sept. 3.

Korea’s President, Park Geun-hye, will visit China from Sept. 2 to 4 to attend the event that marks the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, Yonhap News Agency said, quoting the event organizer. It is unknown whether the President will participate in the parade.

Qu Rui, deputy director of the Office of the Parade Leading Team of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, was quoted as saying 11 countries, including Russia, Pakistan and Mexico, will send troops to march in the parade. Thirty-one other nations will send high-level military delegations.

North Korea, which reached an agreement after 43 hours of talks with the South on Tuesday morning to end the military standoff, is not sending troops or military delegations, the source said.
