A 350-meter-long water slide will be installed near Yonsei University campus in Sinchon, central Seoul this weekend.

According to the district office, Wednesday, the “2015 City Slide Festa in Korea” will be held at Yonsei-ro on Saturday and Sunday.

The event previously took place in major cities around the world, including London, Las Vegas, Sydney, Paris and Amsterdam; it is the first of its kind in Korea. More events are scheduled in other parts of the country throughout August.

“The event will help citizens relieve stress during the hot summer days,” Moon Suk-jin, head of the district office, said.

During the event, singer and DJ Koo Jun-yup and singer Kim So-ri will perform electronic dance music on a special stage.

The famous Parisian cabaret show “Le Crazy Horse de Paris” will take place on Sunday evening. Seven performances recommended by the Korea Performing Arts and Tourism Association will also be featured, including “Bibap,” “Jump” and “Action Drawing Hero.”

Entrance is 15,000 won for a morning ticket (10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.), 18,000 won for the afternoon (2-5:30 p.m.) and 20,000 won for evening (6-9:30 p.m.). A whole day pass is 30,000 won.

For residents of the district, morning or evening passes will be available for 10,000 won. Traffic on the street will be restricted from 1 a.m. on Saturday through 3 a.m. on Monday.
