Sales of health products have soared amid the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) scare.

According to Lotte Department Store, Sunday, sales of these products from May 29 to June 4 jumped 20.7 percent, compared to the same period a year earlier.

Red ginseng surged 37.4 percent, followed by vitamins (22.9 percent).

Red ginseng products for children soared 40 percent.
