MERS outbreak boosts sales of health products

Sales of health products have soared amid the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) scare.
According to Lotte Department Store, Sunday, sales of these products from May 29 to June 4 jumped 20.7 percent, compared to the same period a year earlier.
Red ginseng surged 37.4 percent, followed by vitamins (22.9 percent).
Red ginseng products for children soared 40 percent.
A spokesperson for the retailer said parents were concerned about their children’s immunity.
