People who obstruct parking zones for the disabled will be fined 500,000 won under revised regulations, the Ministry of Health and Welfare said Monday.
People who block the zones or who park in the way will be fined 500,000 won. People who alter the lines for disabled parking zones will also be fined 500,000 won.
Drivers who park in disabled zones will be fined 100,000 won, the same as previously.
“We have added regulations on fines for obstructing parking for disabled, in order to ensure them and their guardians access to parking spaces,” a ministry official said.
