750 diving for Sewol rescue? Just 13

The distrust of families of the Sewol victims on the government hit a new low after they discovered there are only 13 divers on duty, not 750, Nocut News reported.

A diver at the Sewol tragedy site in Jindo was quoted as saying, “Currently, there are 13 divers on duty.”

The families asked the question to the on-duty diver who took a break to participate in the meeting with the government task force last night.

The families were outraged at the discrepancy between the government report and the “irresponsible” media coverage based on that report.

One of the family members was quoted as saying, “We were told that there are 750. And there are only 13?”
