Newlywed-to-be among dead in Sewol sinking

A newlywed-to-be was among the dead in the Sewol disaster in Jindo.

The couple , Kim Gi-woong, 28, and Chung Hyun-sun, 28, was planning on getting married this September.

They both were working on the same ferry. Kim was a part-time operator of onboard fireworks and Chung a crewmember.

They have been together for four years, with their expected marriage this September after Kim’s graduation.

The parents said they are planning to have a small ceremonial event in memory of what the couple would have had if they were alive.
