Park likely to visit China soon after trip to U.S.

South Korean President Park Geun-hye is expected to visit China soon after her trip to the United States early next month, ruling party lawmakers said Saturday after a meeting with her.

Park met with ruling Saenuri Party members of the parliamentary science and agricultural affairs committees Friday, during which she indicated she would visit China soon, they said.

Park is scheduled to visit the U.S. from May 5-10, during which she plans to visit Washington for a summit with U.S. President Barack Obama.
