Rival parties refuse to budge over gov't reorganization bill

Chances of passing President Park Geun-hye's government reorganization proposal through parliament appeared slim Thursday as rival political parties continued to stick to their own interpretations of the bill.

The bill's passage has already been postponed several times due to recurring disagreements between the ruling Saenuri Party and the main opposition Democratic United Party (DUP).

The proposal calls for the creation of new government offices and a reassignment of responsibilities among others.
