DUP leader calls for Moon‘s resignation

Moon Sung-keun, interim leader of the main opposition Democratic United Party called for the resignation of lawmakers-elect Moon Dae-sung and Kim Hyung-tae, Monday, over allegations of plagiarism and attempted sexual assault, respectively.
“Moon Dae-sung, who was recently investigated by the International Olympics Committee (IOC), disgraced the nation internationally,” said Moon at a Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul.
Moon urged Park Geun-hye, interim leader of the ruling Saenuri Party, to offer a public apology, as she was the one who officially nominated the plagiarist. “Park must clean up the mess she created,” he said.
Moon strongly criticized the ruling party for its flip-flopping on parliamentary law and attempt to privatizing part of the public KTX service, specifically high speed trains departing from Suseo in Southern Seoul.
“The ruling party should do its utmost to maximize the welfare of ordinary people without becoming arrogant with its majority status in parliament,” he said.
