Husband arrested for cutting off wife’s nipple
By Yi Whan-woo
A man was apprehended for cutting off and swallowing his wife’s nipple after she demanded a divorce, police said Monday.
The ethnic Chinese Korean swallowed the part of his spouse’s left nipple after removing it using a craft knife following a scuffle at their home in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province.
According to the Andong Police Station, the 48-year-old man was drunk when he got into an argument early Thursday with his wife, a 28-year-old North Korean defector. The victim asked her husband for a separation, accusing him of relying on day labor for a living and for habitual drinking, before he attacked her.
The man committed the crime after forcing her to the floor. The woman is being treated in hospital. Police are seeking an arrest warrant.
