UN Secretary-General Ban takes budget flight to aid forum
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon took a budget flight to attend a global aid forum in this Korean port city of Busan, displaying his frugal way of conducting business, officials here said Wednesday.
Ban boarded a low-cost Air Busan jet at Gimpo International Airport in western Seoul Tuesday for the short trip to Busan, where the three-day Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness kicked off the same day.
The Korean-born U.N. chief opted for the budget carrier jet without business class, though the Seoul-Busan line is also served by flag carriers, including Korean Air and Asiana. (Yonhap)
