’Sunfull Day’ to be celebrated

By Kim Tae-jong

Campaigners and participants of the “Sunfull Campaign” for online etiquette will celebrate the fourth annual “Sunfull Day” Friday.

The campaign aims to combat cyber bullying by removing anonymous negative comments on online message boards and to encourage people to instead post positive ones.

The ceremony will start at 10:30 a.m., at Sangmoon High School in Seocho-gu, southern Seoul.

Since it began in May 2007, the number of “Sunfull” or positive messages, posted on its website (www.sunfull.or.kr) exceeded 1,960,000 as of Nov. 1, thanks to the participation of over 2,500 elementary, middle, and high schools and other organizations in Korea.

“With the active participation of people from all walks of life, we expect the number of ‘sunfull’ to exceed 2 million this year,” an official from the campaign office said.
