Online game addict found dead

An online game addict was found dead at around 6 p.m. on Saturday by his brother in his house in Incheon, police said Monday.

The 21-year-old had played online games day and night over the past few years and never left his room.

“He would play online games all day long for the past three years after he graduated from high school,” a police officer said, citing his bereaved family members.

The deceased suffered from serious depression and social phobia, and two months ago, he started to complain of difficulties breathing and would skip meals often but did not want to go see a doctor, the officer said.

The National Forensic Service will perform an autopsy to find the exact cause of death.
