Ring illegally distributes sex trading flyers through hole on car

A ring of sex traders have been detained for illegally distributing ad flyers on sex trade through the hole they made on the bottom of a car.

Seobu Police Station in Gwangju said Monday that it asked the court to issue an arrest warrant for a 41-year-old sex trader, who is identified as Park in family name, for illegally distributing ad flyers on arrangement of sex. The police have also booked a 34-year-old Park for similar charge.

Five male high school students, including an 18-year-old, were also booked for actually distributing them for money.

Park is suspected of distributing some 100,000 flyers on sex trade in the entertainment district in Seo-gu, Gwangju, driving a car with a hole on the passenger footwell, until recently since Jan. 17.

In the investigation, police found that they committed such a crime, reading news that Seoul police arrested sex traders who distributed flyers through a piped hole on the bottom of a car’s passenger seat in July last year, after figuring out a way not to be caught by police.

In particular, Park employed high school students in an ad on daily life leaflet that he would pay 10,000 won an hour, as he got to know that it was difficult to find part-timers due to tight crackdown on illegal flyer distribution, according to police.

Police said they are determined to investigate who sold and bought sex through the flyers as they are believed to arrange sex trade since around the end of last year.

차 바닥 뚫어 성매매전단 살포 알선조직

자동차 바닥에 구멍을 뚫어 불법 전단지를 몰래 살포해온 성매매 알선조직이 경찰에 붙잡혔다.

광주 서부경찰서는 7일 성매매 알선을 위해 불법 광고전단지를 살포한 성매매 업주 박모씨(41)에 대해 청소년보호법 위반 혐의로 구속영장을 신청하고, 배포책 박모씨(34)를 같은 혐의로 불구속 입건했다.

경찰은 또 이들에게 돈을 받고 전단지 살포 아르바이트를 한 김모군(18) 등 고교생 5명도 불구속 입건했다.

박씨 일당은 지난 1월17일부터 최근까지 조수석 바닥에 구멍을 뚫은 승용차를 타고 다니며 광주 서구 상무지구 일대 유흥가에 성매매 전단지 10만장을 살포한 혐의를 받고 있다.

조사결과 이들은 단속에 적발되지 않는 방법을 고민하던 중 지난해 7월 서울경찰에서 차량 조수석 바닥에 구멍을 뚫어 파이프를 통해 전단지를 배포한 성매매업자를 붙잡았다는 뉴스를 보고 같은 이같은 범행을 저지른 것으로 드러났다.

특히, 박씨 일당은 전단지 단속이 강화되면서 배포를 담당할 알바생을 구하기 힘들어지자 생활정보지에 시급 1만원을 준다고 모집광고를 내고 이를 보고 찾아온 고교생까지 고용한 것으로 조사됐다.

경찰은 박씨 일당이 지난해 말부터 성매매를 알선해 온 것으로 보고 성매매여성과 성매수남 등을 상대로 수사를 확대할 방침이다.
