Woman tapped as next British ambassador to N. Korea

Britain has named a female career diplomat as its next ambassador to North Korea, Yonhap news agency reported in London Tuesday.

Karen Wolstenholme has been appointed as its envoy to North Korea, the agency quoted the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as saying.

She is to succeed London's current ambassador to Pyongyang Peter Hughes.
