A 71-year-old man died of complications from influenza A H1N1, Wednesday, raising the country's flu-related death toll to 10.
According to the Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs, the man suffered from pneumonia, which he had possibly developed from the disease. He had also suffered from chronic renal failure and hypertension and had been in intensive care since Sept 16, when he was confirmed with the infection and was given antiviral drugs.
As of Wednesday, more than 15,000 people have been infected with the disease since May. Most of them have recovered after taking antiviral drugs, while 15 are hospitalized and two are in critical condition.
