Ex-FTA Official Appointed Ambassador to Brazil

Choi Kyong-lim, former director general of the Free Trade Agreement Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, has been appointed ambassador to Brazil, the ministry said Wednesday.
A graduate of Seoul National University in 1980, the 51-year-old entered the ministry after passing the high diplomatic service examination in 1982.
Choi served as director at the ministry's World Trade Organization Division in 2001 and counselor at the Korean Permanent Mission in Geneva, Switzerland, in 2002.
In 2005, he worked as senior coordinator for free trade agreement negotiations at the ministry.
