New Envoys Appointed
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wednesday appointed Park Heung-shin, consult ambassador for international relations of North Jeolla Province, as ambassador to France.
Kim Jong-il, consult ambassador of Gyeonggi Province, was named as ambassador to Switzerland.
Former Consult Ambassador Lee Kwang-jae of Daegu and former professor at the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security Jang Tae-shin were designated ambassadors to Romania and Greece, respectively.
Other appointees include former Army Maj. Gen. Suh Kyung-suk, ambassador to East Timor; former Ambassador to C?te d´Ivoire Lee Ji-ha, ambassador to Azerbaijan; Nam Sang-jung, consult ambassador of North Gyeongsang Province, ambassador to Guatemala.
Chang See-jeong, former vice chairman of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), was named ambassador to Qatar and Yun Sang-mo, former deputy consul general in Shanghai, China, was appointed consul-general in Niigata, Japan.
