President Lee Myung-bak named eight new presidential secretaries Wednesday as a follow-up measure to the announcement of a new lineup of senior secretaries Monday.
Lee Dong-woo, a former journalist who had worked as first secretary for public relations, was tapped as the secretary for message planning, a newly-created position aimed at helping the President better communicate with the public.
Park Heung-shin, also a former journalist, was named secretary for media relations, while Lee Sung-bok, currently the second secretary for public relations, was appointed secretary for public relations.
Former Grand National Party vice spokesman Kim Hae-soo was named the first secretary for political affairs.
The presidential office is now choosing a few more secretaries and is in the final stage to complete the reshuffling of the presidential secretariat, a spokesman said.
