Ambassadors from the United States, China, Japan and Russia will attend a security forum at the National Assembly Tuesday to discuss ways of bringing North Korea back into the sphere of dialogue, a lawmaker said Monday.
They are Ambassadors Kathleen Stephens of the United States, Cheng Yonghua of China, Toshinori Shigeie of Japan and Gleb A. Ivashentsov of Russia, according to the organizer, Rep. Gu Sang-chan of the governing Grand National Party (GNP).
The four countries are all members of the six-party talks on denuclearizing North Korea.
Gu's office said all of the ambassadors confirmed their participation.
Each ambassador will deliver a 15-minute speech, which will be followed by a question and answer session.
National Assembly Speaker Kim Hyong-o, GNP floor leader Ahn Sang-soo and Unification Minister Hyun In-taek are expected to attend the forum, the organizer said.
