Korea Reports 2nd Confirmed Case of Influenza A

South Korea has reported second confirmed case of influenza A.

The Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said Tuesday that it has confirmed as its country's second case of swine flu a 44-year-old nun who is living with a 51-year-old nun, the first Korean confirmed to be of swine flu case.

It shows that the indirect or human-to-human infection of the new H1N1 virus has taken place in Korea.

The 44-year-old is presumed to have contracted with the flu, while accompanying the 51-year-old from the Incheon International Airport to their nunnery when the senior nun returned from Los Angeles on April 26.
