Abducted S. Korean Released in Kazakhstan

A South Korean businessman was released hours after he was abducted by an unidentified group in Almaty, the largest city of Kazakhstan, Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The abduction took place at around 9 a.m. (KST) when the 44-year-old man identified only by his family name Nam was heading for an investment company which he runs, the ministry said.
The man was released after negotiations with the group who asked for a ransom in return for his release, it said.
About 2,000 ethnic Koreans are currently living in Kazakhstan.
