Guidebook for Jeolla Region Published
A guidebook on the culture of South Jeolla Province was made public to mark the 2008 Visit Gwangju, Jeolla Year and EXPO 2012 Yeosu.
Professors at Chonnam National University published ``a New Journey into the Jeolla region,'' aimed at showing the identity, culture, and history of the province, the school said Sunday.
The book consists of six chapters: Living Sites and Livelihood; The Breath of the Earth; Language and Gesture; Sounds and Colors; Tastes and Stylishness; and Dreams and Traces, which talk about such topics as traditional teas, forests, music and food to the Gwangju Pro-Democracy Movement in 1980 and other sociopolitical issues concerning the region.
