Singers Caught for Taking Drugs

Singer-turned vocal coach Park Seon-ju, 37, and hip-hop group Uptown member Steve Kim, 31, were indicted without detention on Friday on charges of taking illegal drugs.
Prosecutors in Busan said Park allegedly took ecstasy pills at bars in Seoul, Japan, Thailand and Hong Kong several times since December 2006. They said investigators found drug remnants in a hair sample taken from Park at her house in Apgujeong-dong, central Seoul, Tuesday.
Kim is suspected of taking philopon, a methamphetamine from Japan, and smoking marijuana since last November. Kim was arrested in the 90s for similar charges.
Investigators are attempting to discover the source of the illegal drugs.
