World Hospital Congress to Be Held in Seoul

Some 3,000 officials representing world-class hospitals from around the world will gather here next month to share new developments in the health service sector and strengthen relationships.
The International Hospital Federation (IHF) will hold the 35th World Hospital Congress in Seoul from Nov. 6 to 8, bringing together hospital officials and experts from 80 countries, the Korea Hospital Association (KHA) said Thursday.
The gathering, which runs under the theme of ``Vision and strategy for ubiquitous healthcare,'' will include a string of conferences with the aim of improving health services throughout.
The IHF is a France-based non-governmental organization (NGO).
The NGO, supported by member hospitals from over 100 countries, is geared at improving patient safety and promoting health in communities that lack these kinds of services.
Guest speakers for the meeting include Choon Yong Loo, executive chairman of Singapore's Raffles Medical Group, and Oracle Corp. Vice Chairman Neil De Crescenzo.
