Workers install a sculpture of St. Andrew Kim Tae-gon (1821-1846), the first Korean native Catholic priest, on the exterior wall of St. Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, Sept. 5. The Korean Catholic Church will take part in a ceremony on Sept. 16 to mark the dedication of the statue of the Korean martyr wearing a "gat," a traditional Korean hat, and a traditional men's outfit called a "dopo" in Korean. Kim was canonized and made a saint with 102 other martyrs by Pope John Paul II on May 6, 1984. Courtesy of Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea.
