Sun protection prevents age-old problem

Sun protection is a must to prevent skin aging.
According to the National Cancer Center, Korea’s skin cancer rate has quadrupled in 10 years, and women are more vulnerable than men.
“UV rays are the biggest factor, along with find dust, that cause skin aging, so using antipollution products is vital,” said Kim Woo-ri, international marketing manager at skincare brand Dr.Jart+.
Skincare companies have introduced “multirole”, or “hybrid,” sun-protection products that also protect the skin from fine dust. Yellow dust warnings have been in place in Seoul several times since 2002.
Dr.Jart+’s “Derma Defense Sun Fluid” is a light antipollution sun cream that moisturizes the skin.
Australian natural skincare brand Jurlique has also launched multirole “Sun Specialist SPF 40 High Protection Cream,” which contains berry extract that works as an antioxidant, according to the company.
