Foreign tourists visit Gyeongbok Palace in Jongno District, Seoul, Thursday, ahead of the May holiday travel season. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, around 80,000 to 90,000 Japanese tourists and 100,000 to 110,000 Chinese visitors are expected to travel to Korea during the holiday period, which coincides with Japan's Golden Week from April 29 to May 6, and China's Labor Day holiday from May 1 to 5.
