Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light, though wise men at their end know dark is right, because their words had forked no lightning they, do not go gentle into that good night.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its affiliated organization, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), have joined hands with Netflix’s popular TV show “K-foodie meets J-foodie” to attract Japanese tourists to Korea.
According to the KTO on Wednesday, the public agency for the country’s tourism industry signed a memorandum of understanding with Studio Modak to promote Korea’s various food and tourist destinations via the show.
The studio is the TV show’s production company. Korea's top foodie celebrity, Sung Si-kyung, joins Japan’s beloved Yutaka Matsushige on a tasty adventure as they explore culinary gems across the two countries via the show.
The series is being shown with Korean and Japanese subtitles.
Under the partnership, the KTO is set to provide information on representative local cuisines and their dietary cultures from various regions across Korea for the show.
The organization’s Japan office also plans to cooperate with local travel agencies to offer various travel packages for Japanese tourists. The packages are expected to include itineraries featuring food and tourist destinations introduced on the show.
The show’s video clips will be used as the KTO’s tourism promotion content in Japan.
“We have promoted various tour campaigns to attract Japanese tourists utilizing the list of Korea’s top 30 delicacies picked by the agency since 2019. According to KTO data surveyed in 2024, Japanese tourists pick destinations based on their food preferences when they travel abroad. Food tours were the second-most popular travel activity when they visit here,” Yoo Jin-ho, head of the tourism content strategy division, who leads the Korea Tourism Organization's data lab, said.
“The partnership with Studio Modak will definitely contribute to attracting more Japanese tourists in the future.”
