Opening to write new chapter in luxury hotels
The Lotte Hotel Seoul will reopen as the Executive Tower, Sept. 1, after a year-long renovation.
The company started remodeling its building in July 2017, the second of its kind since its opening in August 1988 to offer a new standard in premium luxury hotels in the Gangbuk district like its sibling Signiel Seoul in Gangnam. In 2006, it went through its first renovation
“We sincerely appreciate the patronage of our customers who have been waiting for Lotte Hotel Seoul's Executive Tower with love and support,” said Kim Jung-hwan, CEO of Lotte Hotels and Resorts.
“We will be reborn as a hotel that will provide an experience exceeding expectations for all customers coming to Seoul, which is emerging as a new luxury travel destination.”
Luxurious, differentiated rooms
The number of rooms in the renovated Executive Tower has been adjusted from 373 to 278 - 225 deluxe rooms and 53 suites - not only to expand the service space of Deluxe Room as the most standard room, but also to enhance the facilities and provide more careful and attentive service.
The G.A Group, a British luxury hotel interior design firm, was in charge of the remodeling, seeking to deliver Korean beauty and simplicity in rooms where unnecessary decorations are minimized with artwork or furniture merely serving as highlights under the concept of contemporary classic.
To ensure comfortable sleep for customers, all rooms are equipped with Beautyrest The One, which was developed based on Primo, a premium model of Simmons' Beautyrest Collection. For a more comfortable stay, a new-concept clothing management device called Styler has been installed in suite rooms; thus becoming the first Lotte Hotel to introduce it.
The Royal Suite, the largest of its kind in Korea, is also eye-catching. Lotte spent 4.1 billion won ($3.63 million) and it is equipped with Beautyrest Black, the largest bed available in Korea.
The C. Bechstein grand piano placed in the living room is one of the top three pianos in the world and is worth approx. 50 million won. In addition, a private fitness area with equipment from Italy's premium brand Technogym allows guests to enjoy their workout in peace.

Exclusive VIP services
Executive Tower has the largest club lounge in Korea.
First to be seen is the reception desk Sky Lobby on the 15th floor. Inspired by traditional Korean motifs, the lobby creates an antique, comfortable atmosphere. Private meeting rooms and business services are also available, and front desk receptionists will provide one-on-one check-in and check-out privately while customers comfortably sit on the lobby couch without needing to wait in line.
Le Salon, a luxury lounge exclusive for Executive Lounge customers on the 16th floor, is a premium dining area where breakfast, light snacks, afternoon tea, and happy hour and bar services are available.
In particular, there is a live station where professional bartenders and baristas are always at your service and section chefs cook food on the spot as well as offer authentic French-style Gueridon service wherein food is cooked and presented to the guest at the table.
Services have also become more delicate and diverse.
First, all suites have a Valet Box so that you need not ask staff for laundry service. Packing and unpacking services are available for busy business customers. Upon request, professional hoteliers will pack and unpack your belongings neatly and perfectly.

Return of Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul
Michelin two-star restaurant Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul on the 35th floor is also coming back.
It is Korea's only restaurant by Pierre Gagnaire, who was named the best chef in the world by Michelin star chefs in 2015. With its renewal opening, Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul will serve as a modern French culture space that reflects gourmet trends.
While still maintaining its original taste and quality, Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul will also introduce a new menu at reasonable prices to provide customers with wider opportunities to enjoy the most classic French cuisine in Seoul.
The lunch menu that best suits business meetings is now available. In line with recent trends, olive oil-based, Mediterranean-style one-plate dishes are on the menu with a simplified service manual so that customers can finish their meal within an hour. With customized storytelling, diners will be able to enjoy an authentic French experience in a short time. The dinner course consists of Southern French cuisine based on a variety of seafood as the signature menu of Chef Pierre Gagnaire.
Pierre's Bar, which offers a spectacular night view, introduces 10 new signature cocktails and various single malt whiskeys, having been reborn as a comfortable, luxurious French boutique space.
The bar is also introducing its new PG Bar Membership. Available in two tiers, or Gold and Platinum, the PG Bar Membership entitles holders to single malt whiskey and champagne drinks depending on the membership level.
Additional benefits such as a 30 percent discount on snack dishes and free Keeping Box service are also included. Sales are limited to 30 members.
Scent of Executive Tower
The scent that has been much loved by Signiel Seoul guests can now be enjoyed in Executive Tower, as well.
A Walk in the Woods, composed of citrus green, freesia floral, and woody musk, is a refreshing and soothing scent as if you were strolling through a lush green forest.
As the fragrance spreads, it gradually blends with the scents of refreshing fruits and aromatic flowers as well as a delicate woody note in the forest.
“Just like the saying 'Every place has its own scent,' customers will be able to remember Executive Tower not only for its topnotch service but also for its scent,” said a Lotte Hotel official.
Executive Tower has chosen the hotelier collection of Diptyque, an elegant and luxurious French niche perfume brand, as an amenity.
