L'Escape opens on July 19

The L'Escape Hotel opened its doors, Thursday, seeking to become the nation's first urban French-style boutique property.

It is the first independent brand of Shinsegae Chosun Hotel that also runs the JW Marriott Seoul and the Westin Chosun.

Located in central Seoul, right behind Shinsegae Department Store, the 25-story hotel consists of 204 rooms of 10 types, including 80 suites.

Its exterior and interior was designed by renowned French architect Jacques Garcia, who tried to recreate the concept of the 19th century Paris aristocracy.

The hotel is loaded with various food and beverage facilities, including the Chinese restaurant Palais de Chine, Cocktail bar Marque d'Amour and contemporary restaurant L'Amant Secret.

Kim Bum-soo, better known as a food blogger, is being tapped as the general manager.

Lotte opens new luxury hotel in Vladivostok

The Lotte Hotel Vladivostok opened its doors, Thursday, becoming the fourth Lotte property in Russia after Moscow, St. Petersburg and Samara.

Lotte acquired the previous Hyundai Hotel establishment in April to expand its presence in the far eastern region before it underwent a tree-month renovation.

The hotel, the lone five-star property in the Russian city, consists of 153 guest rooms, including eight suites.

Located in central Vladivostok, 40 kilometers from the airport, the hotel gives guests easy access to major tourist spots such as Arbat Street and Marine Park.

It features a renowned Korean restaurant, an all-day dining cafe and a sky bar on the 12th floor offering killer night views.

InterContinentals tops service quality survey

The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and the InterContinental Seoul COEX have won first place in the hotel sector of the 2018 Korean Standard-Service Quality Index (KS-SQI).

It is the brand's eighth achievement _ the most in the industry.

The KS-SQI is a comprehensive indicator of customer satisfaction on products or services by domestic companies.

To celebrate the honor and reward customers, it is set to run the “Celebrate No.1” promotion for overnight guests and diners visiting their restaurants and bars from Friday to Aug. 19, under which 60 will be drawn to win gifts and vouchers, worth 12 million won ($10,000). Prizes include a free stay at the Club Mountain Suite; complimentary Urban Escape Spa Package voucher; a complimentary meal at Hakone Omakase or the Sky Lounge.

Sheraton D Cube launches kid package

The Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel is offering “My Little Agit Package” that provides children with a cute little Indian teepee in their hotel room.

The package includes an Indian teepee with Milo and Gabby pillows set up in a spacious room, which will allow your child to enjoy their very private playground along with three pieces of sweet macaron and the hotel's signature Sheraton D-Bear for a giveaway.

The promotion will run through the end of the year and its price starts from 255,000 won ($226).

Enoy bingsu at Millenium Hilton

Cilantro Deli, the Millennium Seoul Hilton's delicatessen, is serving bingsu for those suffering from scorching summer heat.

Bingsu is a shaved ice dessert with sweet toppings including red beans, fruit and sweetened condensed milk and the summery treats will be available until the end of August.

Guests have three options for the dessert: green tea, mango and fruit, each avilable at 15,000 won ($13).
