Local hotels are going kid-friendly ahead of Children's Day that falls on May 5. To curry favor with their little guests, hotels are coming up with a variety of packages offering a theme park, sport activities and Lego bricks -- and also tasty food.
As more parents are now visiting nearby hotels to please their children on special days rather than going out to crowded places, hurry up and make your reservations so you won't miss out on opportunities to give your children unforgettable memories.
“Children's Day is the first day of a three-day weekend, so a number of parents are planning the vacation. In that respect, hotels are offering various packages targeting guests with children and events they can enjoy at the hotels,” said an official of the hotel industry.
Courtyard Marriott Seoul Times Square
The hotel, located at the nation's largest shopping complex, Time Square Mall on Yeouido, takes advantage of its location for its “Let's play with kids” package.
The package has two options depending on the age of the children.
The one for the parents with toddlers offers a one-night stay and a three-hour coupon for its kids cafe. Those who have older children can choose the other option comprised of a one-night stay and a theme park experience.

The “Kids and Kids” theme park is where children can learn about and experience various professions, while the ”I like Dalki” kids cafe is an extensive indoor playground.
The package will be available until the end of the year at 162,000 won ($150).

Seoul Dragon City
Korea's first “lifestyle hotel-plex,” Seoul Dragon City, comprised of four hotel brands, offers the “Mom, I can do” package allowing guests to play at an extreme sports club, Champion1250, and enjoy delicious healthy snacks with the whole family.
The four hotels are the Grand Mercure Ambassador Seoul Yongsan, the Novotel Suites Ambassador Seoul Yongsan, the Novotel Ambassador Seoul Yongsan and the ibis Styles Ambassador Seoul Yongsan.
It includes free entrance to the gym, the indoor swimming pool and sauna and other various services depending on the hotels.
The package will be offered until June 30 and the rates range from 150,000 won to 243,000 won.

For children, the Four Seasons is offering a luxurious indoor glamping experience complete with a customized sleeping tent. Also, the children get a pet bulldog toy during checkout.
The Lego kids lounge runs only on weekends and it is available to hotel guests from the ages of four to eight.

In addition, those who choose the breakfast and dinner buffets will be served with character desserts popular among children.
