Seoul and Incheon hotels offer promotions to celebrate the year of dog

Many hotels use the Chinese zodiac as a marketing tool, producing private-brand product or service packages associated with the year’s zodiac animal to reach out to potential guests.
Hotels in Seoul and Incheon have prepared interesting packages in celebration of 2018, known as the year of The dog, man’s most beloved animal.
Grand Hyatt Seoul
Since 1998, Grand Hyatt Seoul has been making stuffed animals according to the zodiac year and their stuffed animals have been well-received by guests _ some of whom according to the hotel collect them.
In celebration of the year of the dog, the hotel has designed stuff animals bbased on six dog breeds, including the Shiba Dachshund, Bedlington and Bulldog. The stuffed animals are available for purchase at the hotel’s deli, which can be reached at (02) 799-8167.
The Westin Chosun Seoul
The Westin Chosun Seoul is selling puppy cupcakes at its deli to celebrate the year. The carrot cupcakes, decorated with cream cheese and mascarpone cheese features seven dog breeds _ the Bichon Frise, Shih Tzu, Schnauzer, Pub, French Bulldog, Yorkshire Terrier and Pomeranian.
The cupcakes cost 12,000 won each and are available only until the end of this month. For more information, please call the deli at (02) 317-0022.
Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam
The Novotel Ambassador Seoul Gangnam is holding engaging promotions and events to celebrate The Year of the Dog. It has designed a collection of dog ornaments to give away in the month of February.
To receive on, guests should stay in the hotel for at least one night or spend a minimum of 150,000 won at one of the hotel’s restaurants.
Besides, the hotel will hold the “Introduce My Dog” social media competition, which anyone can join by posting photos of their dogs to win one of the hotel’s dog ornaments.
Finally, the hotel is offering the “Ring in 2018” package, which includes a night’s stay, two glasses of draft beer and chili cheese fries at the hotel’s GranA II bar, access to the fitness center and swimming pool, and for guests born in the Year of Dog, breakfast.
The package costs 171,000 won per night, excluding tax and service fees. The package is available only until the end of this month.

The Grand Hyatt Incheon is offering its social media followers a mini mirror during their stay. The mirror, like the dog, is a symbol of prosperity and blessings.
