Seoul hotels provide White Day promotions for couples

Many hotels are offering promotions in celebration of White Day, a romantic Korean traditional day for couples, which is on March 14.

Sheraton Grande Walkerhill

Sheraton Grande Walkerhill is offering two Yes May Love packages between March 12 and 14. The first package, White I, includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room and dinner at a campsite on the hotel property, featuring barbecue, a bottle of sweet sparkling wine and a box of cookies. The second package, White II, includes the same services, with the addition to a strawberry dessert buffet for two. The dessert buffet includes more than 40 kinds of desserts and two glasses of sparkling wine. Both packages cost 310,000 won if guests book for March 12, and 280,000 won if booked for either March 13 or 14, excluding tax and service charges. Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel

Lobby Bar in the lobby of Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel is offering a romantic dinner for couples between March 12 and 14, featuring scallops, mussels, abalone, clams king crabs, roasted salmon, chop steak with fried potato, blini caviar, macaroons, vegetable sticks, a special White Day cheese cake, and more. The dinner also includes a complimentary Sheraton bear for the couples. W Seoul-Walkerhill

W Seoul Walkerhill has a variety of White Day promotions.

The “W Dreams in Romance” package includes a one-night stay in a Wonderful Room decorated with balloons, a special dinner including two glasses of wine, and a bath gift set. The package also includes access to the indoor swimming pool WET and the fitness center FIT, as well as a 10-percent discount for treatment services at Away Spa. The hotel’s stylish WooBar is throwing a White Day party on March 19 featuring DJs ― Gio Vanhoutte, Bagagee Viphex 13, Steve Wu and MSBWY aka Didier Yoo, Yenna and Jade. The party will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 3 p.m. the next day. Tickets are 30,000 won each for early birds and 40,000 won at the door. Guest must be at least 19 years old. THE PLAZA

THE PLAZA is offering White Day promotions at three of its restaurants between March 11 and 14.

At Italian restaurant Tuscani, chef Maurizio Ceccato has created a 10-course dinner, featuring hazelnut-scented asparagus, lobster bronze pasta, T-bone steak, chocolate soufflé and Madagascar vanilla ice cream. Chinese restaurant Taoyuen is serving a seven-course dinner featuring shrimp with chili and cream sauce and Beijing duck, and Japanese restaurant Murasaki is serving Wahoo sirloin, sushi and sashimi.
