Renaissance Seoul Hotel’s weekday “Afternoon Delight” invites anyone who’s interested in sweets and cherries.
Served from Monday to Friday between 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., the buffet presents soft donuts, pound cake, muffins, macaroons and other desserts featuring cherries.
The buffet costs 30,000 won for a selection of coffee or tea and a cup of cherries per person. Single servings are available at various prices.

The Plaza Hotel Seoul hosts the world’s renowned new age singer Steve Barakatt for a concert “Rainbow Bridge Story” on Friday evening in the top floor lounge “Xystum House.”
He will sing “Rainbow Bridge,” one of his hits, especially beloved by Koreans, and will also play “The Whistler’s song,” “Flying” and “Day by Day.”
A VIP ticket is 150,000 won and an R seat, 100,000 won. VIP ticket holders will also be served a six-course meal prepared by the hotel.

The Plaza Hotel’s The Lounge is now serving a special pancake set to enrich your morning or meet your afternoon craving for sweets.
What “makes” the premium Echire pancake is the organic flour and premium French Beurre d’Echire used. The butter was selected on the list of the “1001 Foods You Must Taste before You Die” by author Frances Case.
The pancake will be served on a tray with four kinds of syrup and a choice of tea or coffee. The tray costs 49,000 won, and is enough for two people. Other pancake dishes will also be available in the restaurant for 25,000 won. For reservation and inquiries, call (02) 310-7400.
In response to the rising popularity of Spain as a tourist destination among Koreans, Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu presents “Spain is Delicious ― Paella & Tapas” at the hotel’s lobby lounge every Friday evening in June and July.
Besides Paella or fried rice, and Tapas, a finger food for appetizer or snack, Spanish jamon and tortillas will also be served. Spanish wine will be available in addition to Sangria, a fruit cocktail. The entire hotel is decorated as a small version of a Spanish museum with paintings and sculptures. The hotel also hosts the Spanish Cultural Center which teaches Spanish to people.

The W Seoul-Walkerhill presents the summer ice dessert “woobingsu” at its Woo Bar. Six different kinds of ice desserts are available: original woobingsu with marshmallow and rice cake covered with bean flour on top of vanilla ice cream; green tea woobingsu with green tea powder; berry woobingsu with the taste of strawberry tiramisu; chocolate woobingsu with marshmallow and chocolate brownies; cocktail woobingsu with vodka; and wine woobingsu with red and white wine jellies.
