The Grand Hilton Seoul’s Atrium Cafe is presenting a “special menu” promotion throughout the week with a new selection of dishes for each day of the week.

On Monday, guests can enjoy an Italian Evening featuring Italian buffet consisting of salads, pastas, pizzas and desserts. On Tuesday, Asian Creations features main dishes from around Asia including mee goreng, pad thai, sizzling teriyaki sirloin, malay beef fendang and more. On Wednesday, the Seafood Special offers the best of the ocean including grilled lobster, salt sea bass and fritto misto. Thursday is Curry Rice Day, with curries from Thailand, Japan and India including katsu with black curry sauce, breaded pork cutlet curry and Thai-style green curry garnished with seasonal salad and dessert. From Friday to Sunday, it is Weekend steak night where diners can enjoy various high quality meat cuts including Australian tenderloin, American rib eye and Korean beef tenderloin.

The special menu will continue through June from 6 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. The price ranges from 28,000 won through 95,000 won (including tax and service charge). For more information, call (02) 2287-8270.

Featuring several Michelin star holders, the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul will host the Culinary Art@JW May 9-31 at its restaurants.

The hotel will begin the global gourmet project at it’s buffet restaurant the Cafe with an array of traditional Korean royal court cuisine by Prof. Han Bok-jin.

On May 9 and 10, Prof. Han will introduce Joseon Kingdom (1392-1910) palace recipes including “sinseollo.” From May 11 to May 20, the Cafe will play host to “Arabian Nights,” a promotion featuring Arabian cuisine by Hassan Mohammad Abdallah of the Ritz-Carlton, Doha.

The Western-style restaurant JW’s Grill will feature chef Erlantz Gorostiz while the. Japanese restaurant Mikado will serve a special set-course dinner.

The Sheraton Grande Walkerhill’s Pizza Hill offers a unique experience on May 4 and 5. Guests can get in the culinary action by joining the “Making your own Pizza” class with Italian Head Chef Mauro. The class will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

At the class, one serving of pizza dough is offered to singles and couples priced at the price of 50,000 won including taxes and service charges. For families (3 to 4 persons), two servings of dough will be offered for 80,000 won. For toppings, participants can freely add — depending on their taste buds — tomato sauce, cheese, salchicha (Spanish sausage), basil, olive oil and more. The complete pizza can be taken out. In addition, an Walkerhill teddy bear will be given to participants.
