Seoul Cyber University signed a dual degree agreement with California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB), becoming the first online university in Korea to create a dual degree program that offers an international degree, officials said Tuesday.

The agreement's primary focus is to create a dual degree program between the two institutions. Under this program, students can spend two years studying at Seoul Cyber University's School of Business and two years at CSUSB, earning degrees from both schools.

Notably, the program will offer online courses to working professionals and adult learners, allowing them to pursue both domestic and international degrees at Seoul Cyber University and CSUSB. It is Korea's first online dual degree program that offers an international degree.

Previously, Seoul Cyber University established a strong relationship with Cal State San Bernardino.

In 2017, it became the first online university in Korea to select students for an exchange program with an American institution, aiming to foster global leadership and provide students with opportunities to experience advanced higher education overseas.

Located in San Bernardino, California, CSUSB is a research-oriented comprehensive university that constitutes one of the 23 campuses of the California State University system.

CSUSB offers over 70 undergraduate and graduate programs across six colleges, serving around 20,000 students. It ranked among the top 100 public universities in the United States in the 2023 US News and World Report rankings.

"We hope that this agreement will generate synergy for both institutions," Seoul Cyber University President Lee Eun-joo said, adding, "Seoul Cyber University will continue to actively support partnerships and cooperation between the two schools."
