Kim helps friends with her excellence in study
Kim Tae-hee
Kim Tae-hee, a student at Buwon Girls' Middle School in Incheon, is a member of Rainbow Choir, a choir comprised of biracial children. She took part in the choir's performance at the United Nations General Assembly in 2016.
Besides her talent in music with the choir experience, the 13-year-old is a top student excelling in almost all subjects.
She tutors her friends in English and math and helps them adapt to the school environment.
Fluent in Chinese thanks to her Chinese mother, Kim has been studying the language in Gyeong-in National University of Education's Global Bridge program since she was in third grade, and earned the top prize for a bilingual speech contest organized by the school.
She passed Level 3 of the Chinese Proficiency Test and is currently studying to obtain the certificate for the next level.

Jung Ji-yang,15, dreams of becoming a teacher of Korean language and literature.
The senior at Seondeok Girls' Middle School in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, born to a Japanese mother and Korean father, tries her best to find the right path for her career.
Her interest in academia is growing and she shows full attention until the end of the class. Although her grades used to differ from subject to subject until last year, Jung managed to receive all 'A's for her first semester this year.
Jung showed her patience when she refused to give up on one math question and solved it on her own.
She likes to read Chinese poems and has a deep interest in Korean history which once made her think of becoming a history teacher.
