The Korea Multicultural Youth Awards, which marks its fifth year in existence, is a meaningful event. I congratulate the award winners.
Korea is expected to have more than 1 million people from multicultural families speaking various languages from different cultural backgrounds by 2020.
To meet this era of diversity, the government has actively carried out policies on multiculturalism. Especially, it is making efforts to provide interracial children with support in education and employment, so that they can become important members of society.
In the globalized and ever more globalizing world, there will be more opportunities for multicultural children to display their potential.
I hope you will have courage and try your best to make your dreams come true.
