Do not go gentle into that good night, old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light, though wise men at their end know dark is right, because their words had forked no lightning they, do not go gentle into that good night.

Shim Hyun-chul, a photographer with The Korea Times, has won an award from the Korea Press Photographers Association (KPPA) for his photo published in the March 5 edition of the nation’s oldest English daily newspaper.
Shim received the monthly award in the portrait category for his photo featuring the portrait of the Joseon Kingdom’s last princess, Deokhye.
In Shim’s photo, the nation’s top master painter, Kwon Oh-chang, drew the kingdom’s fateful princess clad in a traditional Korean “saekdong” jacket with sleeves of multicolored stripes.
The portrait of the princess is one of Kwon’s recent works for the exhibition of Joseon children, including royal family members, which will be held next year.
Along with Shim’s photo, the KPPA also honored photographers in four other categories, including Cheong Ha-jong of Munhwa Ilbo for his photo related to the knife attack on U.S. Ambassador Mark Lippert last month.
