POSCO said Tuesday it has named the new CEOs for five of its affiliates.
The steelmaker’s Vice President Hwang Eun-yeon was promoted to lead POSCO Energy.
Hwang Tae-hyun was named as CEO of POSCO Engineering & Construction (E&C); Shin Young-kwan for POSCO Processing & Service (P&S); Suh Young-sea for POSCO Specialty Steel; and Cho Noi-ha for POSCO Engineering.
“The reshuffle is based on the evaluation of the candidates’ work performance and expertise,” the firm said in a press release.
According to POSCO, Hwang Eun-yeon built his career in POSCO’s marketing and corporate responsibility departments.
Hwang Tae-hyun served as the chief finance executive at POSCO E&C.
Shin worked as a sales executive at POSCO and its trading arm, Daewoo International.
Suh worked at POSCO’s stainless steel sector, so he was the best choice for POSCO Specialty Steel, which focuses on manufacturing stainless steel, the firm said.
Cho worked at POSCO’s plant in Gwangyang, South Jeolla Province, before he was appointed CEO of POSCO Specialty Steel last year.
