Dongguk Univ. president to lead ethics committee

Kim Hee-ok, president of Donggguk University, was elected as the 14th chairman of the Government Public Ethics Committee (GPEC), Thursday.
Established in 1993, GPEC is an administrative body in charge of property registration and disclosure for public officials and the employment approbation process for retired public servants.
Kim graduated from Dongguk University in 1972 after studying law. He passed the bar exam in 1976 and started working as a prosecutor in 1978.
Kim became the vice justice minister in September 2005 and then served as a constitutional court judge from 2006 until he took the helm of Dongguk University.
Kim has been serving as the 17th president of the University since March 2011.
