Prof. Min leads bipartisan Sunfull campaign

Professor Min Byoung-chul, chairman of the Sunfull Movement, will visit the National Assembly Wednesday to present a copperplate bearing a list of 293 politicians who have joined the campaign.
It will be given to National Assembly Speaker Kang Chang-hee.
The Sunfull Movement aims to combat cyber bullying by removing anonymous negative comments from online message boards and to encourage people to post positive ones instead.
It has also encouraged bloggers and Internet users to use appropriate language online.
“This campaign is the first one that almost 98 percent of 293 politicians regardless of their parties have joined. I hope it will be a catalyst for integration and mediation between parties,” said Min.
The Sunfull Campaign began in 2007 with university students from Min’s class when he used to be an English teacher. He is now a professor at Konkuk University.
The number of Sunfull or positive messages, posted on its website (
) exceeded 3.7 million as of Feb. 7., thanks to the participation of over 6,000 schools and 100 groups that have joined the movement.
