Brad Pitt to make first visit to Korea

Brad Pitt will visit Seoul this month, All That Cinema, a Korean PR agency confirmed Thursday. During his visit, Pitt, 47, will be promoting his new film “Moneyball,” which will open in theaters here Nov. 17. While his partner and movie star Angelina Jolie has visited Korea before, this will be Pitt’s first trip to Seoul.

“Moneyball” is an unconventional sports movie based on the book with the same title by Michael Lewis. It captures the Oakland Athetics and its General Manager Billy Beane’s effort to incorporate technology to improve the team’s performance. This sports-meet-technology film was well received by critics as seen in rave reviews by Joe Morgenstern from the Wall Street Journal and Manohla Dargis from the New York Times.

The star’s entire family is receiving enormous attention in Korea. Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie have six children.

Jolie visited Korea last year to promote her film “Salt.” The agency explained that whether the family will accompany Pitt is undecided.
