Kangta Back to Fans After Military Service

Kangta, the former lead singer of the boy group H.O.T., was discharged from the army, ending 22 months of mandatory service.
He was greeted by hundreds of his fans, many of them from China and Japan, at a military unit in Gyeonggi Province.
``I've gotten stronger as I have had a lot of physical training during military life,'' Kang told reporters. ``I'm still a bit uneasy standing in front of cameras but I will make efforts to get accustomed to it and return to my fans soon.''
Kang is scheduled to hold a fan meeting on March, 20 at Sookmyung Art Center in Seoul. He will also meet his fans in Beijing and Tokyo, his agency SM Entertainment said.
After H.O.T. split up in 2001, Kangta was the first member to release his own solo album. The singer-actor entered the military on April 1, 2008.
