MBC Announcer Weds

MBC announcer Choi Hyun-jeong Saturday tied a knot with a lawyer who is three years older than her at a cathedral in southern Seoul.

Choi, 30, who began her broadcasting career at MBC in 2004 as a weather caster, is reputed for good appearance and calm manner.

The couple first met in June through the mediation of their acquaintance. Choi’s spouse whose name was withheld majored in engineering at Seoul National University and passed the bar exam. He is now affiliated with a local law firm.

In an interview before her wedding, Choi said, ``I will make a comfortable wife who can develop with my lover.’’

Meanwhile, Choi reportedly plans to continue her broadcasting career.

최현정 변호사와 결혼

최현정 아나운서 (30)가 28일 강남의 한 성당에서 세살 연상의 변호사와 백년가약을 맺었다.

지난 2004년 MBC에서 기상캐스터로 방송생활을 시작한 최 아나운서는 빼어난 외모와 차분한 진행으로 유명세를 타고 있다.

두 사람은 지난 6월 지인의 소개로 만나 5개월만에 결혼하게 됐다. 최 아나운서의 동반자는 서울대 공대를 졸업한 후 사법고시에 합격한 뒤 현재 국내 대형 법무법인에 근무하고 있다.

최아나운서는 결혼을 앞두고 가진 인터뷰에서 “편안한 아내, 서로 발전할 수 있는 사람이 되겠다"며 남편을 맞이하는 소감을 밝혔다.

한편 최현정 아나운서는 결혼 뒤에도 방송활동을 이어나갈 예정인 것으로 알려졌다.
