Highly acclaimed Japanese R&B singer MISIA, who made her debut ten years ago, will pay her first visit to Korea next month.
The singer will perform at the Seoul Olympics Stadium Complex at 5 p.m. on Sept. 28.
MISIA became popular for her five-octave range of vocals, displayed in hit songs like ``Everything,'' ``Believe,'' ``Sweetness,'' and ``Into the Light.''
``Everything,'' which was released in 2000, is MISIA's most successful single, as well as the second all-time best-selling single by a Japanese solo artist.
Noted for performing only in live concerts, and never on taped television shows, MISIA is also the first female Japanese artist to tour five major Japanese domed stadiums, each performance drawing an audience of more than 50,0000.
MISIA is also recognized in South Korea for lending her 1999 song 'Show Me Your Love' to former Korean pop group S.E.S., who remade it in 2000.
In celebration of her successful ten year run, MISIA will be going on an Asia tour, from August to October.
The five-city tour will kick off in Taipei on Aug. 30. She will make her way through Singapore, Shanghai, and then Seoul, concluding the tour in Hong Kong.
Tickets cost from 55,000 to 77,000 won.
